HOW TO KILL A CHURCH Exodus 32: 1-11

I. Replace The Preacher of God (vs 1, 4-5)
A) They were weary of His Ways ("For this Moses, the man")used to be their leader, representative of God, now just "a man"
B) They were weary of His words("we wot not what is become of him") where was Moses? He was up on the mountain top getting the Word of God!! Is this not what the man of God is supposed to do?
C) They were weary of His work ("these be the gods, O Israel, that brought thee out of the land of Egypt")Moses was a man of God, but now they wanted Aaron, who would be a man of their gods. The preacher had been replaced w/ a puppet

of Egypt.
B) For Israel to receive God's Promises (vs 8)"they have turned aside quickly

C) For Israel to have God's Protection (vs 10)God said to Moses, "let me alone,
